BUYER GUIDE · ARTWORK
Prepare your ribbon artwork brief.
A practical checklist for logo size, direction, repeats, colour references and sample questions before enquiring about custom printed ribbon.
011. Define the visible space
Record the proposed ribbon width and where the ribbon will sit. A straight wrap and a tied bow can expose different parts of the artwork. Share a packaging reference or dimensions rather than relying on a description such as “small box”.
022. Describe size, orientation and repeat
State the logo width or height, whether the artwork should read along or across the ribbon, and the preferred spacing between repeats. Identify the smallest lettering. Ask the production team to review feasibility rather than setting an unsupported minimum print size.
033. Identify the artwork and colour reference
Say which file formats you have and ask which production-ready format is required. Include your intended ribbon and print colours. A colour code is a useful reference, not a guarantee that every substrate or process can reproduce it exactly.
044. Record what needs physical approval
List the aspects you cannot judge from a screen: finish, feel, readability at actual size and interaction with the package. Ask whether an available sample or a custom development sample is the appropriate next step.
055. Send one consolidated brief
Bring the product, artwork version, quantity, destination and desired timing into one enquiry. Keep a copy of the agreed revision so future changes do not rely on scattered messages.
